(( The italics are hyperlinked. )) Once Forest had gotten Serenity as far away from the prison as he could, he had doubled back to get to his house. It was different then the one he had had before she had left, for he had been granted it in hopes it would cheer him up. Now he lived in a large stone castle with lavish gardens along side, which he had had built in honor of Serenity. Those gardens were filled with gurgling fountains and roses, which were carefully tended by the gardeners. The inside of the house was even better, decorated in a rather masculine manner with a few exceptions. One for instance was a room, set with many windows over looking the gardens, which he had set aside for her, perchance she should ever return. Now, as he very carefully dismounted, every watchful that he did not cause Serenity any pain. He left the horse to one of the servants and went up stairs calling two servants with him. As they entered into the gold and cream room he ordered that they move the bed to the window, so that she could see out of the window. Then he laid her carefully onto the bed, and ordered the servants to bring up wrappings, long pieces of wood and a dress. He pulled a chair to the bed and sat beside her while he waited for them to return.

Sere had fell asleep while they were riding. She woke up as he put her in the huge bed. She looked around for him and saw him in the chair beside her. "Forest?" she said to see if he was awake or not.

Nathan's glance moved up to her eyes before she could even finish his name and he stood up, hovering over her. " Is something wrong? " he asked, a worried expression on his face as she looked over her, wanting to reach for her hand but not wanting to hurt her wrists. He didn't even look away from her as the servants brought in what he had asked for before leaving.

She shook her head. "Please lay with me. When I am with you, pain goes away." she said as she scooted over to let him have room. "Please."

Forest nodded, " Of course my sweet. Will you let me put on the splints first? " he asked pointing over to the materials that ther servants had brought. He would have to set the bones and wrap them soon before the bones started to heal.

She nodded and held out her arm for him to start. "Go ahead and get it over with." she said as she turned her head away.

He nodded and brought over the supplies. Carefully and with swiftness he studied the bone, before pushing on it once to get it to snap back into place, then quickly he dipped a cloth in cool water and wrapped it around the wrist before placing a small wooden piece wrapped in cotton beneath it and binding it to her arm to prevent the wrist from moving. Then he went to her legs, which seemed to be broken in the same places, rather cleanly too, so they should heal in no time. He set them with the same quickness that he had the wrist and repeated the steps. When those were done he paused a moment, looking at her turned face with a smile before kissing her cheek softly as he reached for her other arm. With ever the most tenderness he lifted the arm carefully and set the wrist before binding it as he had the other. Then he set it down carefully before he removed the supplies from the site so the servants would get them. Then finally he gave a sigh and crawled into the bed next to her, careful not startle the bed to much or touch her to cause her pain.

She did not move that much while he was setting the bones. She snuggled up to him when he got into the bed. She looked at him in the eye. "I am sorry, Forest." she said as she laid her head against his chest.

Nathan felt wonderfully at ease as she came closer still to him, and again, though she had been in a prison he could smell that light scent of roses. Still the upmost tenderness he wove a hand to rest around her waist. Then in a quet, smooth and hushed voice he began to sing. " Come live with me and be my Love, And we will all the pleasures prove, That hills and valleys, dales and field, Or woods or steepy mountain yields.
And we will sit upon the rocks And see the shepherds feed their flocks, By shallow rivers, to whose falls Melodious birds sing madrigals.
And I will make thee beds of roses And a thousand fragrant posies, A cap of flowers, and a kirtle Embroider'd all with leaves of myrtle.
A gown made of the finest wool, Which from our pretty lambs we pull, Fair linèd slippers for the cold, With buckles of the purest gold." Then even more tenderly he reached to kiss her forehead, hoping for his actions to sooth her, in her harmed and battered state. (( that was a poem by Christopher Marlowe ))

She listened to the song that he sung. She started to fall asleep about the middle of it. She forced herself to stay awake to listen to the rest of it. At the end, she smiled and said "Thank you." She closed her eyes and went to sleep.

He watched as her eyelids faught to stay up and he smiled to himself, but continued to sing until he was done. Then he kissed her forehead again watching as her breathing leveled out with sleep and her eyelids closed fully. Then after he had watched her sleep for a good bit he layed back against the pillows and rested his head against her neck before he too fell into a deep sleep.

She slept against him until morning. The sun was in her eyes. She turned to get it out of her eyes.

Forest had fallen asleep easily in the night, holding Serenity in his arms and knowing that he would wake up to her in the morning. But his sleep had not been completely peacefully, late into the morning, when a dream had come in his mind he had laid at slight unease. For in his dream he had taken Serenity into the country, they had swam in a lake and picnicked on its grass lines shores. Then, when she had dressed herself again they had met and laid together on the grass, when she had fallen asleep in his arms. But as they lay in his dream, much the same way as they laid now, someone seemed to be pulling her from him. His arms tightened around her waist and he pulled her closer to him. " No, you can't take her! " he mumbled seeming as if to try and keep her with him.

Sere woke up to not being able to breath. She felt him shifting in his dream. She rolled so that she could see his face. She kissed his lips. "Forest, I am right here. No one is going to take me." she said.

The struggles of his dream, or perhaps their love continued in his mind until they flashed away the instant her lips touched his. His body stopped its jerking, his arms fell from their snake like hold on her. Soon as his eyes opened to see her face so close to his, his lips curved into a smile, and his arms, which had held a tight hold, came to almost cradle her body, gently yet with a touch of possession. " I am glad to hear of that. " he said in a sleepy deep voice, as he blinked his eyes several time to adjust them to the light, however once they were used to the morning light, they were blinded by her beauty , leaving him to do nothing but stare.
