The maid nodded and opened up the large windows, pushing the panes of glass out to let in the air of the gardens just outside. Even the gurgle of the fountains could be heard if you were quiet enough. Then the maid turned to leave.
As she opened the door though, a rather messy looking Forest stepped in. For he had gotten her message just as soon as he had come to her door, and now stepped in waving the maid out before closing it behind him and hurrying to her bed. " I'm right here my love. " he said standing my the bed side, his hair falling over his face in small groups of strands.

She looked at him as he came in. "Will you take me outside in the gardens?" she asked him.

Forest thought for a moment. " I shall have to carry you. " he said, worry in his eyes at the words. He didn't want to harm her, and he was worried that he might ruin her splints. For the last thing that he wanted was to hurt her any more.
((Blah, no muse))

Forest smiled at her simple sincerity, was it possible that he could please her so simply? Though, in that moment he thought nothing more of it and turned to the bottom of the bed opening up a chest and pulling out the softest of lambskin blankets. Then he returned to the side of the bed and laid the large blanket in his arms, then reached to pick her up. Very carefully, his arm wrapped around her back, lifting her weight easily before the other arm dipped below her thighs, careful again about the splints so that he did not disturb them. " There now, just wrap your self up and I shall take you where you wish. " he said with a smile as he held her small frame in his arms. Her heart so close to his, surely she could feel its fast beat.

She smiled as he picked her up. Once she was in his arms, she leaned over and kissed him on the lips. She wrapped herself up in the blanket. "Thank you." she said.

As always, the moment that her lips touched his, instinct took over and he savored the taste of it. if it hadn't been for that kiss, or more, the fact that it left his heart beating as fast as it could, he would have been worried when her delicate hand reached for the edge of the blanket, using the wrist he knew was healing. Though, at the moment nothing more came to mind before he turned around and headed for the door, carefully descending the short steps before waltzing through the house to get to the garden gates, which were characteristically open.
As they entered he smiled, for along every side were beautiful roses, of every color, size and shape to be imagined. The fountains too, some of which made waterfalls within the rose beds seemed magnificent, all presenting their best, as if knowing that the woman they were made for was before them.

Sere smiled as they entered the gardens. She looked around. They took her breath away from her. She looked at Forest's eyes. "They are beautiful." she said as she reached out to touch one of the red roses.

Forest smiled, feeling her intake of breath against his chest, which only made him realize again that he was holding her. Then he took a few steps closer to the bed of bright red roses, encircling a fountain. " The should be, they took me three years to make. " he said with a smile, though the thought of the reason he created them made him quite sad, he didn't mention it or think of it now, and instead simply watched as her perfect had reached to touch the roses.

She smiled as she picked one of the red roses. She took it to her nose and smelled it. "May I sit out here for a while?" she asked him.

Forest sighed, looking around the gardens for a stone bench. When at last he found one, in a corner of the garden, well in view of the doors to the gardens. So he smiled and turned walking over and bending, gently setting her frame onto the bench. It was surrounded by roses, except for the path, which lead to yet another fountain which gurgled lightly. " Just stay still a moment and I will fetch you pillows. " he said stopping a moment to make sure she was fine before turning on his heel and running into the house like a little boy who had found a flower for his mother.

She smiled as he sat her down. She let the sun warm her face while he was gone.

Again with swiftness he ventured into the house, calling one of his servants with him, carrying to large pillows, one a bit longer than the other. Then, the two hurried out into the gardens, making the whole journey in only a few minutes. Then, when Forest saw her, the sun gently bathing her in light his breath was taken once again. For it seemed when ever he was around her, his lungs seemed to cease function. Now wasn't the time for that though, and as he approached the bench, servant on his heels, he slowed, then, with the same tenderness as he had before, wrapped his arms about her and lifted her up, cradling her as the treasure she was while the servant arranged the pillows on the bench.

She looked at him. "You did not have to do this, Forest. But thank you." she said as settled back in the pillows.

Forest shook his head and he laid her back down, waving the servant away as he knelt beside her. " Of course I do my love, you deserve nothing less. " he said as he looked into her eyes, wanting to touch her, perhaps as the man in the prison had, though he knew it would not be possible, not any more. He though regretfully to himself, and though he tried to suppress his anger, he knew that a bit of it shown on his face.
